How to Use Land Rover Gesture Tailgate

1. Ensure you have your smart key with you and approach the vehicle. The Gesture Control will not operate without a nearby key for security reasons.
2. At the rear of the vehicle, locate the gesture sensor. For reference, the sensors are located within the outer parts of the rear bumper.
3. Using one foot, make a smooth kick and return motion beneath one of the gesture sensors. Do not perform a sliding or sweeping motion. The kick should last for 1-2 seconds.
4. The vehicle's indicator lights will flash when your gesture is recognized, signaling a successful gesture. Stand back, and the tailgate will open.
5. To close the tailgate, gesture again in the same way or press the automatic close button on the tailgate door itself.
